Shareable Tool Configs
Generate a link that opens any tool with your exact configuration pre-loaded. No account required to use a share link.
What it does
Every tool — Modal, Banner, and Countdown — has a Share button in the code panel that appears after you generate a script. Clicking it saves your current configuration to a private URL and copies that link to your clipboard.
Anyone who opens the link gets the tool pre-loaded with your settings — typography, colours, triggers, frequency, email platform, everything. They can use it as-is, tweak it, or generate a fresh share of their own.
How to share a config
Configure and generate
Open any tool, set up your experience, and click Generate Script. The Share button only appears once a script has been generated.
Click Share
The Share button sits next to the Copy button in the Generated Script header. It shows a link icon at rest. Click it — it saves your config and copies a shareable URL to your clipboard.
Send the link
Paste the link anywhere — Slack, email, Confluence, Notion. The URL looks like /modal?share=<uuid>. No expiry, no sign-in wall.
(function(){
var _elId='el-modal-x7k2';
…
})();
Link copied to clipboard
experiencelab.app/modal?share=a3f9c8d2…
How to use a share link
Open the link
Clicking the link opens the tool and immediately applies the saved configuration. You'll see all fields populated and can generate the script straight away.
Customise if needed
The config is just a starting point — change anything you like. Your changes stay local until you generate a new share.
Save as a preset (optional)
If you want the config available in your personal history, sign in and save it as a named preset. Share links are independent of presets.
